If you know there is a fire under your hood because you see the smoke, never open the hood because the sudden gush of air can cause the fire to become bigger quickly When this happens, it can cause an explosion that could burn you severely when you are that close Sometimes when a fire uses up the air that is under the hood, it might smother itself out before it gets any bigger Fires under the hood can be very unpredictable and it is better to just leave them alone to avoid being injured Until a firefighter arrives
